National Educational Trainer

I’m Margery Scott, a National Educational Trainer dedicated to empowering educators to create meaningful change in their classrooms.

Like Peter M. DeWitt, I believe schools should be places where all students can learn, explore who they are, discover their strengths, and improve their weaknesses. Schools must embrace diversity, creating environments where all students are accepted and encouraged to thrive as future societal contributors.

The key to maximizing a teacher’s impact on student learning is not just in crafting engaging lessons—it’s in building authentic connections with students. Children’s external challenges outside the classroom can overshadow even the most dynamic teaching. The missing link in many classrooms today is this genuine connection with students. Research shows that when children feel valued believed in, and know their well-being is a priority, they’ll rise to meet expectations. They’ll work harder—not out of obligation, but because they don’t want to disappoint the person who believes in them.

I don’t believe in trendy theories or flashy programs. Educators need practical, research-based strategies they can implement immediately. I’m committed to providing teachers with proven techniques that help them take control of their classrooms and, most importantly, reclaim time for what matters most—teaching.

Educators have one of the most demanding careers in America. They take on multiple roles—parent, nurse, counselor, judge, and lawyer—while preparing generation after generation to become impactful members of society. Teachers work with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, each with unique learning needs and abilities. We can no longer rely on a “one size fits all” approach. Today’s classrooms require individualized strategies to foster growth in every student.

One overlooked assumption, particularly in politics, is that all children attend school ready to learn. For many, hunger, trauma, and a lack of behavioral education can severely hinder their ability to focus. While students may not intend to cause disruptions, external factors often make it difficult for them to fully engage in learning.

Teachers have a tremendous opportunity to make lasting impressions on students during the school day—impressions that ripple into their lives beyond the classroom. My career is dedicated to helping educators succeed through motivation, inspiration, humor, and practical, stress-reducing strategies. Together, we can create the time and space for what matters most: teaching and building relationships that shape students’ futures.
